Meeting held on 11/12/14 at Town Hall Basement Meeting Room
Meeting called to order at 3:05 pm

Topics of Discussion
- Elected John Augustine as new Chair of the Budget Advisory Committee for the next year
- Reviewed budget information provided during the Nov 9th all day Town Budget review session
- Focused on what information needed to be adjusted to enable the Selectman and BAC to have a better understanding of the requested budget increases and reasons behind those increases.
- Discussed other approaches to the budget process that would help in formulating constructive recommendations to the Selectman
- Discussed the process and an outline of recommendations on the proposed 2015 Town Budget
- Initial discussion of the School Budget and differences in the year over year numbers and timeline for review
- Don Bettencourt reviewed some spending strategies being employed by other municipalities
Action and Follow-up items
- BAC Chairman to request from Town Manager the following information to assist the BAC in developing recommendations to the Selectman:
- Copies of excel files for all spreadsheets included Town Budget Presentation
- Clarification from Town Manager about projected decline in Revenue, specifically accounts 3912 and 3915
- Add BAC to Nov 17th Town Meeting agenda to review initial thoughts of BAC to Selectman and request an additional meeting a few weeks later for a more in-depth review of specific recommendations from the BAC for Selectman to consider as they deliberate the 2015 Budget
